This position, reporting to the Vice President of Human Resources, is responsible for partnering with assigned business units to develop integrated solutions that aligns employees and management with the company’s business objectives. You will work in a leadership role across a number of geographical regions, in a fast- paced, innovative, technology driven company.
Understand the priorities and operating environment of your client group, and develop and implement an HR plan grounded in their business strategy. Align talent-related practices and resources to your client group’s objectives and OANDA’s priorities
Participate in the development and delivery of multi-media training programs for a global organization that can be accessed in micro learning segments on an as-needed basis
Participate in the development and implementation of diversity and inclusion initiatives based on data collected via committee participation, employee surveys, etc.
Provide guidance and input on talent and individual career path development to support succession planning strategies and improve engagement and retention of top talent
Identify and map succession plans to individual training needs and align to performance recognition and development plans
Utilize onboarding, engagement and exit survey data to support and shape the development of HR initiatives, policies and procedures that foster a collaborative, inclusive working environment
Provide input and guidance on managing complex employee relations issues, including handling and effectively communicating and monitoring performance improvement plans and handling outcomes
Maintain in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance in each of the jurisdictions the company operates in. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
Provide assistance to the HR group in optimizing the automation of the department and simplifying current practices and procedures for customers and the department alike
Responsible for the development and delivery of the monthly HR dashboards
Assists international employees with expatriate assignments and related HR matters.
Support organizational change in terms of process, communication, mapping and monitoring overall employee engagement and wellness during periods of change as well as ensuring compliance with company’s established operating values and local jurisdiction(s)’ legislative requirements
Support annual merit and total rewards process
Adhoc projects and duties as assigned
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Post-secondary education in HR Management, Industrial Relations or related discipline
SHRM, CHRP or related designation would be a definite asset
5+ of progressive HR business partner/HR Management experience with demonstrated knowledge in multiple areas of Human Resources disciplines such as Compensation practices, employee relations, performance management, organizational development
Experience managing Human Resources on an international scale would be considered a definite asset
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders and to handle confidential/sensitive information with tact and diplomacy
Proven ability to impact and influence at all levels of the organization to achieve optimal outcomes
Demonstrated ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced and rapidly changing environment, driving alignment and results with/without direct authority
Sound analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to understand broad complex business issues.
Strong business acumen with a proven track record for aligning business objectives with HR strategies and initiatives
Change agent who can work with ambiguity to drive outcomes and resolutions for the business; not afraid to take risks or make decisions to expedite solutions.
